Is SpinWheel really free?
Yes. This version is free to use, with no account required. Create a wheel, customize it and spin as many times as you like.
Do I need to create an account?
No. Your wheels and settings are saved in this browser. They do not automatically sync to another device.
How does the random selection work?
SpinWheel uses the browser’s Web Crypto random number generator. Each entry has an equal chance by default. With Advanced enabled, an entry’s chance is its weight divided by the total weight. The result is selected before the wheel animates.
Can I save my wheels?
Yes. Wheels are saved locally in your browser. Export a JSON wheel file and use Open to load it again. Files contain entries and settings, not past results. Clearing browser data can remove local wheels.
Can I remove a winner after spinning?
Yes. Turn on Remove winner. The winning entry is removed after its result is revealed, so it cannot be selected in the next round.
What happens if two names are the same?
Each row is a separate entry, even when the names match. Two rows with the same name create two chances. You can also change weights under Advanced.
